Austin is a passionate and enthusiastic climber and photographer. He discovered his love for climbing in the crags of the Southeast while earning a degree in Biochemistry from the University of Florida. Immediately after graduating, Austin moved to North Carolina to develop his climbing and guiding skills. He has since climbed across the country from cold Ice in the Northeast to warm sandstone in the desert Southwest.
